Prof. Dr. Göktürk Tüysüzoğlu, faculty member of the Department of International Relations at Giresun University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, answered questions from Cumhuriyet Newspaper regarding recent developments in Iran.

In his assessment, Prof. Dr. Tüysüzoğlu emphasized that the developments in Iran should not be viewed solely as a regional conflict, but rather as part of a broader geopolitical competition involving global trade corridors.
He highlighted Iran’s strategic importance as a key intersection point for China's Belt and Road Initiative and the North–South Trade Corridor involving Russia and India, underlining that developments in the region may have significant global implications.
