A conference titled “International Law in the Age of Crisis”, organized in collaboration between the Department of International Relations and the International Law Society at Giresun University, was held on April 21, 2026, at the Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi Amphitheater.

The conference was delivered by Dr. Tolga Çıkrıkçı. In the presentation, the role of international law in the face of contemporary crises was examined through the cases of Ukraine, Gaza, and Iran.

It was emphasized that despite ongoing violations, international law continues to function as the primary normative framework through which states justify their actions.
